Shadonion — Privacy & OPSEC knowledge base
A static, privacy-first website explaining digital privacy and OPSEC without hype, tracking, or corporate framing.
Project created on: 23 Jul. 2025 | Last updated: 28 Dec. 2025 | Status: Archived
Shadonion is a content-focused privacy site built for people who want clarity instead of slogans and grounded explanations instead of influencer-tier advice. It is intentionally static, readable, and inspectable in plain text.
The project exists to explain how tracking, profiling, and digital exposure actually work — without pretending tools are magic or that reading alone makes anyone private.
There is no analytics, no telemetry, no JavaScript bloat, and no attempt to turn privacy into a product. This is education and perspective, not a service.
Overview
Problem
Most privacy resources are either oversimplified marketing or fear-driven paranoia that skips real-world trade-offs and threat awareness.
Solution
A static site that explains privacy and OPSEC concepts directly, without assuming blind trust in tools, vendors, or infrastructure.
Core stack
HTML5 · CSS3 · No JavaScript frameworks · No analytics · No cookies · No telemetry
Scope & assumptions
Shadonion deliberately avoids making guarantees. It assumes readers want less tracking and better decision-making — not magical invisibility.
- Not a Tool: This project does not provide anonymity infrastructure.
- Not Tor: The name is thematic, not technical.
- Not a Shield: Reading about privacy does not make you private.
- User Responsibility: Correct application of tools is always on the user.
- Threat Awareness: Encourages thinking before tool selection.
